The selection process of the CTS  consists of 4 rounds. These rounds are as follows:



Written test

Technical Interview

HR interview

Cognizant written test pattern based on 'AMCAT'. This written test will have three section i.e Verbal ability, Quantitative aptitude and Logical reasoning. Q4I suggest candidtes to go through the AMCAT patterns.

Quantitative Aptitude / Analytical Ability: This section consists of questions from topics such as Problems on Trains, Problem on Age, Averages, Percentage, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Partnership, Profit and Loss, Number System, HCF, LCM, Probability, Permutation and Combination.


 


Verbal Ability section consists of questions from Spotting error, Rearrangement,  Sentence formation, Passages and Jumbled Sentences, Antonyms and Synonyms, One word substitution, Sentence correction, readings comprehension.


 


Reasoning Section consists of questions on Blood relation, Direction sense, Coding and Decoding , Syllogism , Statement-Assumption, Data Interpretation (pie charts and tables), Data re-arrangement, Puzzles etc.


Sectional Cut-off: As there is sectional cut-off, so candidates need to put equal attention on each section.



After the Written test Cognizant Technology will conduct induction program in which the company policy, Salary and similar other things were present by CTS HR.



Technical Interview: This section will be one to one and it will mostly start from Introduce yourself followed by questions from the programming language, Data-structures, and Basics Algorithms, some basic questions of Operating System, DBMS (RDBMS, various keys), computer networks (OSI/TCP  model, protocols, IP address, Mac ID, router, etc).



HR Round: In this section will be one to one and question will be mostly from candidates resume, followed by some question like strengths and weakness, extracurricular activities, hobbies etc. Refer HR round interview question asked in CTS.
