Ragging when done to hurt someone is crime as we all would have heard of many cases which depicts that the person who was ragged has lost his life so in this case ragging becomes a crime. So ragging should be done in limit and with few criteria's kept in mind.

Before Ragging was done to differentiate between juniors and seniors to teach how to become professional. With time the trend and motive has changed now students come with weird ideas and rag other students which cause mental and physical injuries to them.
