Job Description:
HSBC is hiring candidatesfor the post of Associate Software Developer.
Job Responsibilities:
→
Responsible for installation, configuration and maintenance of Unix operating system and all related systems
→
Detect and diagnose all Unix related problems.
→
Responsible for recovery and backup process.
→
Installation, Configuration and troubleshooting knowledge of Veritas Volume Manager, Veritas Cluster Server and Veritas Netbackup Client.
→
Understanding of Network OSI Model, TCP/IP and Routing.
→
Good knowledge of RAID Levels such as RAID-0, RAID-1, RAID-1+0, RAID-5.
→
Working experience on SAN /NAS storage with ability to lead incidents in real time towards resolution.
→
Configuring EMC/Hitachi LUNs on UNIX servers.
→
Understating of LVM/VXVM and detect underlying HW/SW issues and fix those effectively
→
Understanding of multipath concept and its implementation as well.
→
Working knowledge of coding and scripting e.g. Shell or Python etc.
→
Experience with automation/configuration management using either Ansible or an equivalent Devops tool
→
Communication and interpersonal skills.
→
Effective time management
→
Should be well versed with ITIL concepts and more specific understanding of Service operations activities.
→
Worked in an infrastructure critical environment and understands how technology adds value to the business and ultimately the end customer.
→
Ability to work effectively as a team player.
→
Working across cultures.
Eligibility Criteria:
→Bachelor’s degree from CS/IT/ECE.
