" The resilient Indian economy has culminated the warring arguments of Gst being an apocalypse of vicious effects. Since Narendra Modi has taken charge, Indian economy has been through transition state with watershed movements such a Demonetisation and the recently enacted Gst. One Nation One taxation Policy is what triggered the genesis of Gst taxation system in India.Goods and Service Tax ( Gst) in short, is the unified tax system envisaged to hollow out the cascading effects of taxation , it was enacted by the government after due consideration of all the short term pains along with the long term benefits. Initially being considered as the pandora box is now deemed to be a blessing in disguise that's the story so far of the much debated Gst. Multiple taxes which created chaos in the mind of taxpayers like Value added tax, sales tax, entertainment tax or cess tax, has been ruled out by the government by its enactment of single taxation system vis-a-vis Gst.The short term pain due to Gst enactment  which created fuss in the indian market ,impeding the prosperous growth of the indian economy has now seen its climax, as slowly and steadily indian economy is heading towards being  the most powerful economy of the world. Yet, there are certitude of challenges to be contemplated and resolved with mutual understanding of the state and the centre. The spike of taxes on automobiles, Telecom services, airlines and banking services has ultimately caused the quotidian people to bear the brunt of hiked taxes causing them to pay more and save less. The ambiguity about its meaning is still prevalent in the minds of millions in India, the procedure to pay taxes under the new taxation policy digitally also left many at Sea. The digital signature needed for tax paying is also an impediment for many new to  this nascent Taxation policy. With its shortcomings, Gst is the panacea of the previously  chaotic and ambiguous taxation system. It has favoured the business class with the digitalised one  window taxation system and it will surely trigger a flexible and better business environment. Since its enactment, the proliferation of taxpayers has been an asset to the revenue of the indian government. The digitalised india and the online transparent taxation system is acting as a clog to tax evasion and the menace of corruption. Gst also brought ecstasy to millions of houses with the low taxation on household daily items relieving the middle class which constitute to be the majority in developing country like india. Good things takes time;Rome was not build in a day, that is what describes the watershed movements like Gst. It has already been enacted by many countries and has reaped positive fruits for them. We have to patient for the economy to get stable and see the positives which stem out of it .The indian economy is already sympotomating towads the positives of Gst with the increment of the GDP in its fourth quarter. Gst will definitely see the sun in the near future as the glimpses of its growth is evident in the prevailing growth of Indian economy already.  "

" The GST Goods and Services Tax implemented on 1 July 2017, is one of the biggest tax reform in India after Independence. It is a Destination based single indirect tax system that has replaced the age old tax system of India. From its formation to its implementation it faced many revisions and rollbacks. The current model of GST  seems to have both merits and demerits. Earlier there was a plethora of taxes like VAT, Excise, Custom, Octroi, sales, service. GST has brought all of them under a single roof and has reduced their cascading effect. The implementation of E-way bill under GST has made the movement of goods smoother and has reduced transportation time and cost. The implementation of GST faced many challenges. Its architecture having too many tax slabs, the term SGST, CGST and IGST, too many exemptions, anomalies made the term GST more complex for many people. Migration and adoption of the entire new ecosystem became a teething trouble for people. However frequent policy changes and regular counselling done by GST Committee reduced the compliance burden of people and tried to ease their transition pain. Many items of daily need like Milk, butter, bread and health facilities have been exempted from GST. The prices of some items have reduced like coffee, eating in restaurants, confectionaries while prices of some items have increased like cars, air travelling, sin items. But the tax collection from the first month of its implementation has increased. If we compare its merits and demerits it would be safe to conclude that former outweighs latter. GST in upcoming will prove a game changer and will certainly broaden India's tax base. "

" The full form of GST is goods and services tax.  It will be applicable from July 1, 2017. It is a single tax on supply of goods and services from manufacturer to consumer.  At present there are many taxes at each stage of value addition in goods and services.  However, with the implementation of GST the final consumer will pay only the GST charged by the last dealers in the supply chain which will compensate all the previous stages. There are several benefits of GST in India.  It will make tax payment easy and transparent.  It will make the tax structure and rates uniform in India.  It will reduce the hidden cost of doing business.  It will reduce the transaction cost and therefore improve the competitiveness for the trade and industry.  It will phase out the central sales tax include the central and state tax within a single GST.  It will reduce the locally manufactured goods and services.  This will improve the competitiveness of Indian goods and services in international markets and therefore boost the Indian export. For central and state government, it will mean simple and easy management of one tax in comparison to the many indirect taxes as in the past.  The machanism is designed to give insensitive to the traders who fulfill their tax obligations.  It will expected that GST will decrease the cost of collection of tax revenues of the government and will lead to higher revenue efficiency. In addition to the benefits to the business and industry, and the state and the central government, GST will be highly beneficial to the consumer also.  The cost of many goods and services in the country are today laden with the many hidden taxes.  This is due to the multiple indirect taxes being levied by the central and state.  Often the consumer doesn't know how much he is paying.  Now there will be only one GST , that is, only one tax from manufacturer to consumer resulting in greater transparency.   Besids, there will be relief in overall tax burden.India is a federal nation, that is, a Union and state.  So there will be two components of GST- Central goods and services tax (CGST) state goods and services tax (SGST). Both central and state will be levied GST across the value chain simultaneously. Therefore, in conclusion we can say that GST in India is a good step for improving the indirect tax management.  This step will be beneficial for consumers, traders, and service providers because it will bring uniformity and cost reduction in goods and services.  It will be also good for the nation because there will be greater tax compliance and the collection will be higher which will help the development of the nation. " Goods and services tax also called GST bring a historic change in the taxation system of india. Based on one nation one tax regime GST is a unified tax applicable in place of all the indirect taxes. People have to pay tax once with the same rate all over india. Introduced in july, 2017 GST played important role in changing the whole scenario of taxation system in india and came up with its own challenges.Implication of GST has its own pros and cons. Most important change it  bought is it removed the cascading effect of tax means tax on tax. It transfer the tax burden to the direct comsumer of the goods or services. Thus business or consumers will not have to pay tax on already tax priced which in result also decrease the cost of production for business and reduce the price of good and encourage other people to start a business through startup because of low cost of production. It also help in reducing corruption as business even in unorganied sector will have to comply and get registered thus also increase revenue collection through tax. Through the e-way bills businesses can also trace the transportation of their goods and trucks carrying good from one to another will not have to pay troll plazas or will not have to stop at the checkpost making it easy for transportation. Thus we can say GST has bring a fresh air in the indian tax system which will be helpfull in a long run not only economically but also for the comsumers. If worked on few of its shortcomings can make india capable of competing with other countries market and our tax system more simple and transparent. "
