Single Use Plastic Ban
Points to remember before you participate in a Essay Writing:
- Divide your essay into 3 parts (each in a different paragraph).
- Introduction -> content -> conclusion.
- Give a space after the full stop (.) and comma (,).
- Capitalise the next word after the full stop.
- Frame small sentences as it will prevent you from making mistakes. Avoid extra spaces.
- Your essay should not be less than 300 and not more than 400 words
- The essay should be the original work and it should not be copied from anywhere.
Single use plastic bags comprises of daily use polythene bags, plastic bottles, food packaging items, plastic straws, plastic bags etc. Millions and millions of plastic bags are produced every year, and almost 99% of them cannot be recycled. These single used plastics can be used only once and then they are thrown out like garbage in roads and water bodies. These plastics are non biodegradable and cause land and water pollution.
Single use plastic not only harms the nature, but also is harmful for humans, animals and marine animals. Many animals like cows, buffalos etc. thinks these as food and swallow these. These plastic cannot be digested and hence can result in loss of their lives. Many people not just throw these, but also burn these plastics. Burning these plastics releases very harmful and toxic chemical gases, which if inhaled by human beings can cause many kind of diseases, like skin irritation, eye irritation, breathing difficulties etc. Also, these gases can increase temperature of earth causing global warming. Coming to marine animals, when plastic bags goes into the seas and oceans, these decreases and blocks oxygen level of the water, thus, cause problem to marine animals and plants too.
Well, it is the need of the hour, that we need to understand that there is nothing good kept in using these plastic bags. These can just cause harm. They must be replaced by jute bags, and cloth bags. As these are biodegradable and ecofriendly, and moreover, it can be used more than once also.
Our Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi has laid the base of plastic ban on October 2nd, 2019 with an aim to make India plastic free by 2023. We must co-operate with our Government and stop using plastic bags as soon as possible.
Once, plastic is banned, our environment will again revert back to the path of becoming green and clean.
