Should GD be necessary for selection process?
Points to remember before you participate in a Essay Writing:
- Divide your essay into 3 parts (each in a different paragraph).
- Introduction -> content -> conclusion.
- Give a space after the full stop (.) and comma (,).
- Capitalise the next word after the full stop.
- Frame small sentences as it will prevent you from making mistakes. Avoid extra spaces.
- Your essay should not be less than 300 and not more than 400 words
- The essay should be the original work and it should not be copied from anywhere.

GD means Group Discussion, it is given to the students to test their ability in different types of fields.Firstly one of the topic is given to the group of the students and also their is an time limit given to them about 2-3 minutes. the invigilator given the topics like current topics, general topics, politics topics, and different types of topics given to the group members. their will think and discussed about the topic was given to them and there will start the topics which the invigilator given to them. first one of the member will tell about points in the topics related. Some of the companies are taking this kind of GD to known the students talent in different fields. It will provide the students a lot to develop their skills in various fields. In GD students should listen the words spoken by the other student and should also keep the eye contact between the other students. All of the companies are announcing this type of sections to see their talents and their confidence levels. Firstly it will create a nervousness in each and every students because there had to talk or speak in this rounds. So it is an major part which their have to be in perfect and to built their knowledge by updating the topics by seeing the news, papers and like different types or ways.
Finally, i want to be concluded with my point is that the students should be develop their skills in communication sectors and not to be in tensed or not to be in an confusion state.This is the one of the better source to built their beautiful career and to make their platform in secure way.

Nowadays group discussion is most important part of selection process. According to me GD is important because GD helps the candidate to improve there thought process, helps them to improve communication skills, leads to personality development, remove hesitation. On the other hand it is also important for selector's and recruiter, helps them to select the eligible and deserving candidate. They mainly focus on whether the student or the candidate is confident or not, focus on the thoughts of the individuals and communication skills. Group discussion is necessary because it help's both candidate and selector as well. Helps the candidate by developing the skills of an individual and help the selector by saving his and her time and helps them to select a person who is suitable for a work or a job.
Group discussion might be difficult process for selection specially for new person but it will be a good experience for them and definitely helps them to learn something new.

So, before talking about group discussion, one should be aware of what GD actually means. So, group discussion is a process which is conducted by the organizations and the companies to test the eligibility of a candidate's skills for a particular job profile. By conducting the group discussion session, the recruiters come to know about different skills of the candidates appearing for the job. Many skills are evaluated through group discussions such as communication skills, leadership skills, interpersonal skills, analytical skills, reasoning abilities, creativity, assertiveness, listening skills and many more. Group discussion plays a very important role in knowing the teamwork of the candidates and also the thinking abilities and knowledge about day to day happenings along with the time management. Nowadays every organisation works on the basis of the project which includes various members where team co-ordination is a must factor. Group discussions helps to test the boldness of the candidates and also helps in removing the shyness of a person. Also, it tells about the instant decision making property of the candidate which is very important in the company. No doubt, group discussions helps to know many skills about the candidates but it should be considered only as an extra or a bonus round and not a compulsory one. Suppose if any student is very brilliant in technical skills but due to lack of the communication skills, he/she gets rejected. So, this is a very negative aspect. A student who has good communication skills not guarantee that he is good in the technical skills or vice versa. Any company cannot get success only on the basis of communication skills, rather for the growth of the company, technical skills are much necessary thing. One can improve his/her communication skills after getting the job also.If any candidate is rejected on the basis of the communication skill, then it is a great loss for the company.
Thus, group discussions should just be a bonus round of any selection process. It should be an important part during placement but not for elimination.
