For the first two numbers there is a difference of 2 and next two nos have difference of 4 and 2 and 4 repeat the procedure

the first diffrence is of 2

and the second diffrence is of 4

and the sequence continues so 24-2=22

this series has difference of 2,4,2,4 numbers. like:

36-2=34

34-4=30

30-2=28

28-4=24

24-2=22 is answer
