India is a male-dominated dominated country where males are dominating in every area and females are forced to be responsible for the only family care and live in the home including other many restrictions. Almost 50% of the population in India is covered by the female only. India would not be developed unless the other half is developed so it is necessary to empower women by the efforts of men, government, laws and women too.

Women's Empowerment idea has been misunderstood by the mass and also has been exaggerated by some. Women's Empowerment is not when a man believes that he has the power to empower women. It's when a woman can do what they want to do, they can follow their dreams equally like the men's in the nation do. Choose what they want to wear, choose what they want to do when to do and how to do. The law offers right to equality to everyone though this isn't exercised equally. The time is changing and so does the mentality of the people.
Improving education for women helps raise their levels of health and nutrition, and reduces fertility rates.Education increases ‘people’s self- confidence and enables them to find better jobs, engage in public debate and make demands on government for health care, social security and other entitlements’.In particular, education empowers women to make choices that improve their own and their children’s health and chances of survival.Education helps prevent and contain disease, and is an essential element of efforts to reduce malnutrition. Further, education empowers women to make choices that improve their welfare, including marrying later and having fewer children. Crucially, education also increases women’s awareness of their human rights and their confidence to assert those rights.
Women empowerment is not only the right to do, it's the smart thing to do. Woman's are an integral part of our society, they have to be let free of the barriers and that will only add to the develpoment of the nation.
