" Consuming beef is the deadliest crime in India. You suffer deadliest charges for doing so. This may be, burning their homes to lynching them to death. Whereas, I witnesses loading bull that lead to his death was not reported and so is cow slaughtering with certificate or for cowhide. Double standards! Failing of beef industry will unemploye poors. It is cheap yet nutritious meat. This will deprive poor of it. If Cows are considered sacred, no one will look after other cattles. Banning beef is theocratic. India belongs to Hindus is erroneous. Non-Hindus are targeted in the name of beef consuming. Banning beef for the sake of religion is not secular. Yet, We must refrain doing something with hurt other’s sentiments. "

So banning beef is not correct as you are taking the rights from the citizen to make their own choices, if this is the right then fish should be used as food because it is considered as auspicious for Bengali's. One cannot decide what other should eat.

" Food items cannot be banned depending on any one religions belief because that is not what a democratic country can do. Main reason behind this was Hindus pray to cow in this regard of someone is killing it and eating was taken as disrespect to their belief, this cannot be done in India which is a democratic country, democracy means to give freedom to their citizens to make their own decisions. So banning beef is not correct as you are taking the rights from the citizen to make their own choices, if this is the right then fish should be used as food because it is considered as auspicious for Bengali's.
