Explanation:
Let us consider the ages of the man, his father & his son is m, f & s respectively.
Then according to the problem F = 5s ------------ (i)
S + f-m = m+8 ------------- (ii)
F + m = 100 -------------(iii)
Putting (i) in (iii) we get
5s + m = 100 ---------(iv)
By, Putting (i) in (ii)
6s-2m = 8 ------- (v)
By Eq. (iv) & (v)
s = 13, f = 65 & m = 36
So, Son age = 13 years.
