The word TRIANGLE is permuted in all possible ways. what is the probability of choosing a word from the list in which the relative positions of vowels and consonants remain unaltered?

Solution: According to the question the relative positions should remain unaltered. So consonants should occupy the consonant positions and vowels should occupy the vowel positions.
There are 3 vowels which can be arranged in 3! ways and 5 consonants which can be arranged in 5! ways.
So the probability=(3!*5!)/8!=1/56 (8! Because all the words can be arranged randomly in that number of ways.
