## 8. 6 years ago Ram was twice as old as Shyam. If the ratio of their present ages is 9:5 respectively, what is the difference between their present ages in year?

**Answer:**

**Option C**

**Explanation :**

As per Formula:

(If the given ages in a ratio a : b then age will be ax and bx)

So present Ram age will be = 9x and shyam age = 5x

6 Years ago:

Ram age will be = (9x-6) and shyam age = (5x-6)

as per the question:

(9x-6) = 2*(5x-6)

=>9x -6 = 10x - 12

=> x = 6

so difference between their ages = 4*6 = 24 years
